to help you get started with your journey at De La Mas.
CELEBRATE & THE BASICS:
Celebrate your engagement. Whether that is alone at home with a bottle of wine or a big party.
Take in the moment and make sure to show off your new bling 💍 on your socials.
After that, have a discussion with your fiancé about the following:
- Planned date/season/year for your special day
Take into consideration: guests coming from far, school holidays, honeymoon destination
- Amount of guests to be invited
- Preferred province for your wedding
- Overall wedding budget
ENQUIRE AND ORGANISE
Tip: Go on Gmail.com and create a email address that is dedicated to all things wedding planing.
Example: email@example.com. This will keep all wedding planning emails together.
You are now officially a FBI agent. Pop over to your favourite venues website and social media (congrats, you've already done this step 😉) and browse around for packages and offerings.
CREATE A TOP 3
Download the packages, read through it and highlight all the uncertainties you have. Pop us a email with all your questions and we'll gladly assist with clarifying details.
Set up a spreadsheet and compare all your chosen venues. Remember to compare apples with 🍎.
Establish your top 3 venues and set up an appointment for a site tour/viewing.
VENUE SITE TOURS
Come prepared for your site tour. Re-read the packages on your way to the venue and be ready with your questions for your tour guide. We recommend having a smaller group for your first viewing.
Take it all in. It's overwhelming seeing a beautiful venue.
Let your mind run free with ideas and write them down.
DISCUSS AND BOOK
After viewing your top 3, discuss your decision with your nearest and dearest.
Request a formal quotation to accurately make the best decision for your dreams and budget, and make sure you have all the payment details.
Once decided on a venue, pop the venue a email with your preferred wedding date to confirm availability.
Once date is confirmed, send your venue the proof of payment of your booking fee, a copy of your ID and sign their packages/contract.
LET THE PLANNING COMMENCE
As soon as all the paper work is completed, a happy dance is mandatory
and the rest of the planning can begin!
